Concept of Mokkoan

Mokkoan means “the hermitage full of trees’ fragrance”.

We have renovated an old house where we lived for many generations. It is a nice traditional Japanese house with a beautiful garden. After succeeding this beautiful house from my parents we thought that the best way to preserve this environment is to convert the house to a petite hotel and open it to the people visiting Japan from various parts of the world. Staying with us in Mokkoan will make you feel as if you were a time traveller. Please come and enjoy your hermitage.

Mokkoan is very much aware of the protection against the earthquakes in Japan. At the time of renovation, we very strictly followed the latest regulation on the Construction Standards Act of Japan.
